Sarah's not only one of my 2018 seniors, but a senior in my youth group. She was actually a freshmen when I first started leading, so she's been with me from the beginning. She's a light wherever she goes & has a joy in the Lord that makes you want to know Him more. Oh, and I got serenaded by Sarah during this shoot and if you've heard her sing, you know it was unreal.

Motherhood. Shoot, guys. It’s changing everything. Everything. My sleep schedule. My body. My view of grace. My understanding of how much I need it. My need to ask for help & accept it. My plans. My marriage. My need for Jesus. It’s way harder than anything I’ve ever done (especially breastfeeding - why doesn’t anyone tell you this?!) I haven’t posted much about Jude for a couple of reasons. One is just lack of time. I’m reevaluating how I spend my time during those few & far between naps. Another is I’m a little bit terrified of his life being documented from the very beginning on the internet and he has no say in it . Any other mamas concerned about this or am I just crazy? He’s the first generation of kiddos in this boat so I just don’t know how it all unfolds. Verdict’s still out on how much I want his face forever out on the World Wide Web. Maybe I’m just overthinking it? (Mamas, would love to hear your thoughts about it!) Also, this is the same old song everyone’s singing, but Instagram just shows the good and I think it fools you into thinking I’m like I am in this picture. Always happy on the beach with my babe. I’m forever learning what it looks like to have an encouraging, real, yet still ascetically pleasing feed (cause I appreciate that kind of thing) without over-glamorizing life. Especially motherhood. Anyways. All the thoughts for your Wednesday night. Just when ya thought I couldn’t feel more feelings I go and have a baby.
Was gonna post a serious one of Auraleigh, but let’s be real, she looked like this for most of our session together. This one’s much more fitting. Seniors, I’m here for ya!
If you know me at all, you know “all things new” is my life motto. It’s the promise I live by & hope I cling to. I sign cards with it. I finish prayers with it. Almost got it tattooed but then I found out I was pregnant with Jude. All things new. ALL things. Every broken relationship. Every failure. Every single hurt. The things I thought were deader than dead. He can breathe life back into them all. Yeah, it may not look the way we want it to. It might not be restored back to what it was. But He makes them NEW. He doesn’t just patch up the broken, He gives it a new name. But sometimes I say it thanking Jesus for doing it and sometimes I say it desperately waiting for him to remind me that He will. In this life or when He comes again. So I’m gonna sing it arms raised in thankfulness when I see it or I’m gonna sing it loud till I believe it. All things new 🌿
Auraleigh girl. Teaching me lots about new life in Jesus for 4 years now & making me laugh while doin it. If you don’t know her, ya should. Can’t believe you’re a senior 😭

This past Sunday was really pretty. Pretty people. Prettier hearts. Matt + Caitlyn SERVED THEIR GUESTS & ATE LAST. Like, I even ate before them 😭 What a beautiful way to start off their marriage, serving others & dying to self.
Every wedding i get to spend more time with the bride & groom than anyone else. I get to step into some super sacred, sweet moments with them and get a close up of their love. I’m the luckiest. But when it’s my brother-in-law & my new sister-in-law, it’s extra special. Here’s two of the people in my life that make me want to love more like Jesus & I get to call them family. What a kind gift from a good Father.
