Meredith + Mark | Ellicott City, Maryland Wedding

Meredith emailed me a while back telling me they were gonna do things a little differently.

They were having their wedding on a Thursday.

They wanted a small, intimate ceremony with their closest family + friends. Afterward they’d have a family dinner together and later on have a hundred more of their friends come party with them.

They wanted to work some time into their schedule to slip away and grab a beer, just the two of them, and just be together.

I was immediately on board. It wasn’t about the details (although those we beautiful too). It was about things that matter. They wanted this day to be about who God is & the kindness He’s poured out onto their lives by giving them each other, their families, and their friends. They wanted to celebrate His goodness and celebrate the gift of marriage with their community of people. They get what matters and they wanted their day to reflect it.

And that’s why I loved it. I hope you do too.
